Right now, 77,000 Nebraska residents are stuck in a vulnerable insurance “coverage gap.” They can’t qualify for Medicaid, yet cannot afford private insurance. State Senator McCollister tackled this issue head on by introducing legislation (LB 1032) to close the gap and ensure all Nebraskans have access to quality care.
We’ve worked with Nebraska Appleseed, a nonprofit organization that fights for justice and opportunity, to mobilize Nebraskans and voice their support for LB 1032. This common-sense legislation will give all Nebraskans the opportunity to visit a doctor and lead healthy lives. We’re urging everyone in the state to support this bill.
Nebraska Appleseed works on a variety of issues including child welfare, immigration policy, affordable healthcare and poverty. We look forward to continuing our partnership!
