Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America held a rally September 10 outside the U.S. Capitol, just weeks after the deadly shooting of two journalists in Roanoke, Virginia. Andy Parker, father of victim Alison Parker, was joined by Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe and Virginia’s two U.S. Senators, Tim Kaine and Mark Warner.
Parker demanded that lawmakers strengthen background checks for all gun sales. The need for this fundamental gun safety measure is echoed by Winning Connections. And Winning Connections is proud to work with Moms Demand Action nationwide and to have helped close gun loopholes in Oregon. That legislation will slam the door on anyone who cannot pass a background check but tries to buy from an unlicensed seller or at gun shows.
Together we will continue to do #WhateverItTakes to end gun violence in America.
