Case Study

Funding National Parks

We worked with the American Conservation Coalition to secure $900 million in annual funding to repair and maintain U.S. National Parks.

Inconsistent funding had led to a nearly $12 billion backlog in repair needs to America’s national parks. The Senate passed the Great American Outdoors Act, which would provide $900 million in mandatory annual funding toward fixing the nation’s parks, but it still needed to pass the House.

Our Role

We teamed up with the American Conservation Coalition to send thousands of calls to Members of the House urging them to pass this act to preserve these natural and cultural treasures.

The Great American Outdoors Act passed the House with a massive bipartisan vote of 310-107, which lawmakers credited to the grassroots mobilization of supporters who pressured House leaders to vote on and pass the bill.
