Running as the underdog against an 18-year incumbent, Winning Connections had helped Jon Tester defeat Conrad Burns in a red Montana in his first race. Senator Tester could not count on his incumbency to lead him to victory in the next cycle though, and again faced one of the most hard-fought, competitive races in the country.

STRATEGY

We delivered persuasive calls to voters, delivering the campaign’s message and highlighting Senator Tester’s centrist appeal and farmer image.

Jon Tester defeated Representative Denny Rehberg in what was one of the closet Senate elections in the country. Our targeted calling programs provided the decisive edge for Senator Tester’s remarkable victory.
