John Jameson is founder and president of Winning Connections, Inc. Under his leadership, it has become America’s premier telephone voter contact firm for progressive groups, causes, and candidates. The American Association of Political Consultants has awarded Winning Connections more “Pollie” awards than any firm in its class. John is now leading the firm’s expansion in grassroots lobbying, international consulting, and other areas.
John began the firm in 1996 to build on his telecommunications, political and government experience. John had previously managed campaigns for Senator Fritz Hollings (SC) and ran Mondale for President’s Virginia campaign. He also served as Southern Coordinator in Senator Al Gore’s first bid for the presidency. In addition, John has experience on Capitol Hill, where he was Chief of Staff for Congresswoman Karen McCarthy.
From his years with American Mobile Satellite Corporation—a cutting-edge telecommunications firm—John gained in-depth knowledge of telephone technology as well as insights on how phone systems can be best deployed to reach individuals.
Jameson, a native of Eupora, Mississippi, developed an understanding of America and the concerns of working people in the two years he spent traveling around the country selling waterless cookware in 44 states.
John earned a BA from Millsaps College, a JD from Duke Law School and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He has written for The New Republic and Campaigns & Elections.
