 Mayor Bill Finch won the hotly contested Democratic primary in Bridgeport on September 27 when he beat Mary-Jane Foster with 58.6% of the vote. With the help of Winning Connections, Finch ran a strong grassroots campaign, which provided the foundation for his victory. Read more about this exciting win here

Johnny DuPree made history by winning the Mississippi Democratic Primary and becoming the first African American candidate in modern history to win a major party nomination for Governor in Mississippi.  Winning Connections was proud to have been part of the DuPree campaign, and we look forward to helping Johnny DuPree continue his success in the general election.  Read more about it here.

Democrat Steve Doyle took an assembly seat away from the Republicans in a special election that ended Republican representative, Mike Huebsch's 17 year run.  The race turned ugly in the last few weeks when the Republicans falsely accused the Democratic candidate, Steve Doyle, of tax fraud.  Winning Connections successfully helped Doyle win the race by giving him the tools necessary to communicate correct information directly to voters through the phones.  We helped him set the record straight and mobilize his supporters on Election Day.

Winning Connections won top honors at this year’s “Pollie” awards ceremony, taking home 16 awards in ten categories for campaigns staged across the country. Winning Connections won more awards for live campaign telephone calls than any other firm.

The “Pollie” awards, the political equivalent of the Oscars, are presented each year by the American Association of Political Consultants (AAPC), recognizing the best and most effective efforts at political advocacy in local, state and national campaigns. The awards ceremony, held at D.C.’s Fairmont Hotel, is now in its 20th year. Winning Connections won 16 Pollie Awards at the 2011 Pollie Conference hosted by the American Association of Political Consultants.

Winning Connections won three Reed Awards out of five live call categories.  Congratulations to our clients – The National Wildlife Federation Action Fund, Jim Cooper for Congress, and Mike Beebe for Governor – for their leading edge campaigns.
 
Since the Reed Awards began a few years ago, Winning Connections has been recognized with more live call awards than any other firm. We’re most proud of helping our clients win tough campaigns, but it’s nice to be recognized by our peers in the industry as well.
